Here I am tucking the laps on Steve’s longboard.

Used some tint made for paint coloring from Home Depot, which makes for a nice even color job on the EPS, as well as a new technique for wetting the rail laps out. (flip the laps onto the resin filled deck and let them soak up resin, instead of moving the resin onto the laps = no froth)

All in all this is turning out to be my best tinted board. Stoked!

Both Steve and Pat came by the shop to pay a visit and watched me at work on the last lam layer.

This is a quad semi-fish.

6′2″ x 14″ x 19 7/8″ x 15″ x 2 1/2″Green fade painted on the foam with black pinlines and a polished finish. Bottom is a single into double concave. It is glassed 6×6 top and 6 bottom with a 6 tail patch.Quad fins are 4 1/4″ EA in front and 3 1/2″ sidebites in back.This is a very popular shape for both east coast and travel destinations. Good performance shape with a little float to it. Get ready for the spring surf season or a trip south.Asking 650$  SOLD

This is a funboard/hybrid shape.

Dims are: 7′2″ x 21″ x 2 3/4″Blue fade painted on the foam with black pinline and a polished finish. Glassed with 6×6 top and 6 bottom with a 6 tail patch. Bottom is single into double concave.Tri-fin setup with a set of 4 5/8″ Doc Lausch fins from Future.This is a good shape either for a short or lightweight beginner to progress on, or someone who wants/needs some more float and paddle power in a performance shape. It’s just waiting for the waves.Asking 750$  SOLD

This is a performance shortboard.

6′ x 19″ x 2 3/16″

Square tail with tri-fin setup, single to doubles concaves and includes a set of 4 1/4″ EA fins from Future.

It is glassed 6×4 top and 6 bottom with tail patch and has a clear sanded finish.

A nice performance shape that is very lightweight.

This is the ‘goldfish’. Yes, it is still on the racks!

It is a quad fish with a double bump tail.

The dims are: 5′8″ x 16″ x 20 1/2″ x 16″ x 2 1/2″

Orange tint top and bottom with blue pinlines, also top and bottom, and a polished finish. Glassed 6×6 top and 6 bottom with a tail patch and has a single to double concave.

The quad setup has EA 4 1/4″ fins in front and 3 1/2″ side bites in back.

This is a retro shape, but has been modernized to be a sick performance board with the float and paddling ability that fishes are known for. No matter where you are planning on surfing this board will rock!

It was a good time, talking with lots of people, spreading the word about my boards, and getting feedback on them.Met some interesting folks, all working hard doing business and making their own way in the world and within the boarding culture.

Kudos on the Know!Show crew for setting up a great show that has been taking off since they started it last year, and my buddies over at Tiger Distribution for helping me set it all up.

Here is the longboard that I am making for myself from the first blank cut.

I am adding the full length longboard to my repertoire for this year. This one turned out quite nice in shape with a nice classic look to it. We’ll see what kid of pinline action I give it.Full dims are 9′6″ x 17 3/8″ x 22 1/2″ x 15″ x 3″.

I have another one similar to this on order with my friend Steve. They should be good for some small wave cruising…..can’t wait!

Here I am with a half of a longboard blank cut out.I got myself a ten foot block of foam from a new foam maker and have started cutting for my next production run. The foam looks really good and I am anxious to shape it.I am cutting 2 longboards for now; one for my friend Steve and the other for myself. Got some small wave riding planned for the summer.I gotta say….. that sure is a lot of foam! …I am almost 6′5″ tall..:-)

My 15″ Titanium powerbook broke down a few weeks ago after more than 4 years without a hitch. After doing a bunch of research online; I narrowed the possible flaw down to a few things, and started with the cheapest piece, a PRAM battery off of E-bay.

Unfortunately, the surgery proved unsuccessful.After much hair pulling, gnashing of teeth and usage of other peoples computers, I went out and bought a new iMac. I can now get back to having fun and doing the business that I need to do.As usual, Apple makes a good nice looking machine and the new Leopard OS has got some nice features. If it gets the mileage that the laptop got, then it will be well worth it. {I guess I mean figurative mileage here :-)}

When I have some more money flowing I’ll keep tinkering on the laptop and see if it can’t be resucitated. At least now I am back up and online!

Looks like the system that dumped all that snow on us also contributed to making some crazy surf on the East Coast. I’m pretty sure it was cold out there waiting for those bombs to roll through. Brrrr…..
